Kawasaki Motors Philippines Corporation is a company that manufactures, repairs, markets, and sells motorcycles in the Philippines under the Motorcycle and Engine Division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. (KHI), a Japanese multinational conglomerate. The motorcycle company produces over 18,000 motorcycle units each month in a 29,383-square meter manufacturing plant in Bo. Cupang, Muntinlupa. History of Kawasaki Motorcycles

Before becoming the Kawasaki known in the Philippines, the company began as Delsa Industrial Corporation founded by J.V. Del Rosario and Sakata Shokai, Ltd. in 1968. By 1974, KHI acquired a large stake in the company and changed its name to Kawasaki Motors Philippines Corporation. Meanwhile, KHI began as a shipbuilding company in 1896 in Japan. It would later extend to aerospace engineering, aircraft designing, high-level engineering technologies, and motorcycle manufacturing. Today it is known as one of the leading producers of motorcycles in the Philippines.
